Flashmob Surprise!

My project this month was to direct a flashmob in UiTM. Aqsa Syarif was offered a slot during the expo, and we managed to pool resources from other groups like ABIM dan Pembina to help us. Alhamdulillah, it was done smoothly.

The second one was to co-direct a flashmob at Padang Kota Lama, a state event organized by Aqsa Syarif Penang and IKRAM Penang. Jeritan Gaza, Laungan Syria - was an event organized to raise funds for Palestine and Syria. Alhamdulillah, we managed to raise RM97,000 on that day. With the support of bikers convoy from various 'daerah'. From Timur Laut, SPT(Seberang Perai Tengah), SPU, Balik Pulau and many more. The convoy was joined by ikhwah and bikers from Penang. Sedikit terkilan tak dapat join sebab kena manage flashmob.

Our storyline for the second flashmob was a bit different. We planned to involve audience. The original story went like this. The first scene showed a peaceful sight in Palestine. Kids playing football, women sitting together, mom and son walking around. Then the Zionists entered. Punching and hitting Palestinians(we did the punch and hit for real - with less force). After few moments of struggle, they froze. Then, a speaker among the Palestinians would melt and started the reflection session. The speaker would try his best to convince the audience to come forward and detain the Zionists. From this moment, the storyline would split into two. If 1) the audience managed to come forward and hold all the Zionists, we decided it would be a 'win' storyline. And it would end with a nasyid - and an invitation to keep supporting the cause. We wanted the audience to feel that they were also part of the issue. If 2) no one came forward or the Zionists outnumbered the audience who came forward, it would be a 'lose' storyline. Zionists then would melt and kill all the Palestinians. By this time, a leader from the Zionists will come forward and provoke the audience. The provocation was meant to make the audience realized that this flashmob was not meant for show only, but also an iniative or a kick-start to do something about the issue. Then the leader will freeze again and the speaker will take his mic, did a muhasabah session, stressing on 'Silence is Betrayal', and doing nothing was actually an immoral act. Then we ended it with a du'a. That's the basic storyline.

But, things went so differently. Although the flashmob went so smoothly, but the storyline deviated so far. I congratulate all the actors and volunteering audience for the 'sporting' reaction.

The actual story went like this. Me in this flashmob acted as a Zionist. The storyline went as usual until the speaker's first session. I wore a snow mask. When I saw the audience when we froze, I was like 'Oh No'. I saw ikhwah from convoy were there. Ikhwah was not meant to be part of the crowd. We did dispatch a crowd control, just in case the audience got fueled up and screwed up the storyline. And when the speaker started his session, to convince audience to step up, the first one to step up was an ikhwah, my roommate! His action somehow motivated others to join in. Pakciks, and even sisters volunteered to hold and stop the Zionists. One sister even used her umbrella to push a Zionist away. Still, our leader was not detained. So, the story was set to 'lose'. The crowd control managed to tell the audience they were outnumbered, and they must step out from the scene. The Palestinians were all killed. So far, things went as planned. When our leader started the provoking session, I saw two persons came to stop him. I said with my mask on to my friend next to me, "Ini tak ada dalam skrip ini. Jom, tahan derang jangan bagi depa kaco Zul". The two persons held Zul(the leader) so tight, my friend and I had to throw them away. I kicked his knee to lock him down, while my friend held another person tightly. It was harsh and hard. But it was expected. Because the scene started so real. With real throwing and hittings, so it was okay. After we held two of them, I felt a bit relieved. Macam tak ada lah lari skrip sangat. Zul then proceeded with his script. Suddenly, one of them said, "Ikhwah semua, masuk lah!! Takkan tengok je!". At that time I looked around, I said, "Oh no, ini konfem dah lari skrip dah ini". I screamed slowly to one of them "Woi, ini bukan skrip dia lah!". By this time, all the Zionists behind us were already fighting so they would not be detained. Of course they were resisting, this thing was not in the script and not meant to happen. My friend and I were the last, we fought as hard as we could to keep the story in line. I pushed here and there, struggled here and there. So did my friend. But, the audience were too many. Dah lah di padang, baru lepas hujan. My face ended up kissing the mud. The speaker really succeeded in touching the audience, I saw even pakcik, akak dan entah siapa entah pun datang tahan kami. They were holding us down for real.

The good thing was, the crowd took it for real. They thought it was the storyline. Even the audience who were pinning us down also took it for real. I thought, at least the audience did something. So the speaker continued his muhasabah session. He decided to opt for the 'lose' story line. Zul were also doing well dalam memangkah muhasabah speaker (Alif). Zionists dah lenguh di pin down. Even I too. Lama kot. Jadi masa Alif mula berdoa, that's the key word for us Zionists to get up and retreat. Bila Alif baru mula berdoa, Zul terus pangkah, "Jangan DOA!" and he said lots of things about adab Muslimin dalam berdoa, hidup seharian kita dan very good things mengenai hubungan mustajabnya doa dengan kehidupan seharian. Ini semua tiada dalam skrip. In a few moments later then Zul started screaming "Berundur!".

The doa was really touching. I saw crowds everywhere with tears.

So, it ended nicely, although I dare say that the flashmob happened not in the way we expected. It was better! Alhamdulillah.

After the flashmob ended, while resting, I was approached by a guy. He came to the event, and asked many things about boycott and what could he do as a student. You know where did he work? He worked at McD and amazingly he had the initiative to help and contribute. I explained him the rational behind boycott, relations between McD and Zionists and many more. My last advice before we parted, resign.

My classmate laughed actually behind the mask. "What? An umbrella? Come on."
Excellent flashmob team. Dari IKRAM Siswa UiTMPP dan USM, plus Alif dari UPM.

So here's my classmate. Dia sekarang dalam proses berhenti merokok. Seorang daripada my friend dah berhenti completely, sekarang tinggal dia dan lagi seorang. Dua-dua sekarang tengah hadkan sebatang sehari. Doakan mereka dipermudahkan. InsyaAllah, nak ajak join usrah lepas ni. :)

Subhanallah. Astaghfirullah.

That's all.

Salam.

Invitation to Training by Dr Zakir Naik. I checked my calendar. The training was on 4th Oct, my examinations were on 2nd and 7th October. I had programs oleh IKRAM that 6th. I kept silence and did not reply. Hoping there would be a way out. To spend RM70 for me for that short amount of time was not wise. My pocket was indeed on a strict ration. Nak tidur pula, ada program packed before dan after 4th. Program DnT. Kena amanah dengan janji dan masa. Punya lah fikir option. No reasonable options left.

My heart sank. Yes, indeed. It was a disappointing situation for me. I couldn't come to any of his talk. I hoped at least I could make it to the training. Just to meet him face to face. Punya lah kecewa dan sedih. Hati paksa juga untuk redha. Ada hikmah Allah buat macam ini. Akhirnya reply mesej Bro Mas. Cakap yang aku tak boleh pergi. Pergi mengadu sedih pada Allah. Doa sungguh-sungguh biar Allah tunjuk hikmah. Kenapa aku tak dapat pergi to even satu pun talk dia? Untuk aku, there are only a few things that can get my blood boiling. Aside from Palestine, gaming, superbike, math and science, it is majlis ilmu macam ini lah.

Minta ditenangkan hati (ceh). Alhamdulillah, aku lama-lama redha. Walaupun ada kecewa, tapi yakin hikmah Allah.

Sampai satu hari, IKRAM Penang anjur MABIT. Selepas slot malam, kami pergi makan roti canai. Aku pun buat bulatan di satu sudut kat surau, present topic Bible, Al Quran, its authenticity and comparison. Jadi lah macam halaqah sikit, sebab masa tu masa free jadi adalah beberapa ikhwah join sekali dengar presentation aku di sudut surau tu. Panjang jugak. Dah habis present, aku bukak soalan. Kemudian bila dah bersurai ada seorang akhi ni, pelawa aku nak tak jadi wakil Hidayah Centre Pinang pergi training 4th October. Aku masa mula-mula dengar macam tak percaya.

Aku minta dia ulang balik point dan detail. Yang transportation semua disponsor etc. Aku pun macam terkejut. Aku jabat tangan dia kuat-kuat, sebab gembira gila. Menitis air mata keharuan (ceh lagi sekali). Masa itu memang aku seronok, aku doa sampai hati Allah usik aku macam ni.

Aku pun clarify pada Bro Mas. Ada lagi dua slot rupanya. Aku pun ajak lah dua orang classmates aku.

Dia dah pergi. Cukup lah, tengok muka pun dah sejuk hati. Once a teacher, forever a teacher. Aku pun panjatkan doa untuk ustaz tu.

Kami akhirnya sampai di Concorde Hotel Shah Alam.

Not much to be said. Masa di sana. Cuma, bila nampak Dr Zakir Naik in front of me. My eyes swelled. Rasa macam nak menangis. It's not easy for me to be there, but Allah put me there. Right where I want to be. It's like Allah told me, that my presence there not because I wanted to be there, but Allah wanted me to be there. That's why I failed to find a way to attend the program the first time, and then Allah somehow put myself and brought me to the program the way He wanted. Allahu Akbar. Wastaghfirullah. Walhamdulillah.

Dr Zakir Naik's presence was what inspired me. He being there in front of me, the feeling was indescribable.

Plus masa forum ada Dr Amir Farid (I am still on a research about him, the way he talked and the way he acted during the URI program was different. I bet there are reasons for it, he's not calang-calang. I want to learn from him one day. I love to know what his views. I'll make him my teacher one day), Bro Shah dan Pakcik Nicholas. Bro Shah dan Pakcik Nicholas were there masa Ramadhan lepas untuk Majlis Iftar Perdana Hidayah Centre. I still remembered how pelik ikhwah Penang were when they came, I hugged them and talked with them macam kami dah kenal lama. Bro Shah is my teacher. I met him few times luar dari FCR. And Pakcik Nicholas lagi lah. Anak pakcik tu kawan baik aku, Omar. Selalu je pergi rumah dia, siap pinjam buku dia lagi in which sampai sekarang tak pulang-pulang (-.-). Jadi, pakcik tu memang kenal aku dari sekolah rendah lagi. These are all great teachers. I want to learn from them as much as I could.

I just wanted to tell you, that my journey to KL was indeed amazing. How finally I was able to attend the program. It may not seem significant to you, but to me it was indeed a sign of Allah's wisdom. Amin.

Nilai Cinta

Sebelum habis Ramadan, saya ada membeli beberapa buku. Mood semasa Ramadan merupakan mood cinta. Jadi, semasa ke kedai buku, saya membeli buku perihal cinta. Buku mengenai kekasih saya, Syamail Muhammadiyah(Keanggunan Nabi Muhammad) - Imam Tirmizi dan juga buku Hilal Asyraf, Sebelum Aku Bernikah. Hasrat nak membeli Is God A Mathematician? saya tangguhkan.

Understanding Einstein, Black Holes and Baby Universes - Stephen Hawking, The Great Beyond; Higher Dimensions and Parallel Universes, dan lain-lain. Jadi, memang sepanjang di sini sebelum raya moodnya mood sains, bila masuk Ramadan jadi mood hamba yang mencari cinta. Alhamdulillah, Ramadan kali ini saya bahagia. Tiada apa yang saya sesalkan. Moga-moga Allah terima segalanya.

Raya kali ini agak mendebarkan. Saya tak sentuh walau sebiji pun kuih raya (Heheee : Gelak Shin Chan nakal).

Menangis macam budak-budak. Habis basah baju ibu ayah saya. Lagi-lagi masa tengah meraung di bahu ibu saya, ibu saya berbisik "Anak mama, Mama sayang.

Best!

Juga buku Syamail Muhammadiyah. Ada di MPH. Tak padan langsung dengan harga. Harga murah, isinya masya Allah tak ternilai. Cinta pada nabi berbunga.

Sejak saya habis buku itu, saya sering berdoa sebegini di akhir doa saya, " Ya Allah, aku sangat merindukan kekasihMu, Rasulullah. Kirim salam sayang rinduku padanya. Allahumma Sholli 'ala Muhammad.

Berikan nama-nama Allah - At Tawwab, Ar Rahim, Ar Rauf dan banyak lagi nama-nama indah lain nilainya. Yakinilah Allah itu at Tawwab, Maha penerima taubat. Yakinilah Allah itu ar Rahim, Maha penyayang. Berikan nama Allah haknya, berikan nama Allah sifatnya, berikan nama Allah nilai cintanya. Moga dengan itu, cinta terus berputik. Tak kenal, maka tak cinta. [Kecerdasan Asmaul Husna].

Insya Allah.

To my beloved

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Anekdot first day...

Salam adik-adik semua. Salam mak aku, mak aku peluk kuat-kuat. Mak aku menangis. Panjang mak aku pesan, last-last keluar perkataan 'I Love You'. Itu pun dah cukup sebenarnya. Hati bahagia, walaupun tak tunjuk di muka. Nak menangis jugak, tapi senyum je. Nanti lagi sedih mak aku. Mak aku menangis macam aku nak pergi oversea je, walhal Penang je pun. Masa tu mata dah bergenang, tapi lap cepat. Nanti mak aku lagi sedih. Walaupun depan orang, I'm proud being treated like that. Lol, anak manja. Not a whimpy one, but anak manja yang able to protect his family, and to protect his ummah. Kemudian salam ayah aku. Salam and peluk cara gentlemen. He taught me how to be a man. Kemudian salam and peluk adik-adik kecik dua orang, Ayaz dan Saif. Tapi derang macam tak kisah, sebab tengah bergurau sesama sendiri. Aku pun biarlah. Kereta pun pergi, akak polis sebelah siap tegur lagi, 'tak menangis ke?'. 'Taklah, dah besar, control sikit'.

Aku pun letak telefon, tak tahu nak cakap apa. Call mak aku balik lepas tu, tanya Ayaz cakap tu skrip ke? Mak aku cakap tak, memang Ayaz cakap sendiri. Ayaz ni darjah satu kalau kome nak tahu. Dalam kereta masa tu pun terkejut, Ayaz cakap macam tu. Rupanya masa aku salam derang dalam kereta tu, derang tak tahu aku nak masuk U dah. Kelakar betul. Bila dah otw balik baru mak aku cakap lepas ni Abg Asif takda, siapalah yang nak teman pergi tandas, buat susu, ngajar ngaji semua. Terus dua-dua menangis. Baru derang sedar. Keh keh. Sentimental betul. Dah takda sapa dah aku nak marah sebab conteng buku aku. Haha.

**************************

1. I wrote this, with my love towards my family, and towards my very nice uncles and aunties. Asif di sini sihat-sihat aja. Baik-baik aja. Asif KoKu masuk Kesatria Negara.

Subject daftar enam, in which ada dua are pretty easy. English dan Agama Islam. Subjek lain biasa je. Dua physics, satu calculus, lagi satu subjek faculty - ElectroTechnology. Library dia best. Roommate pun boleh tahan. Seorang roommate dah mintak Asif ngajar dia mengaji walaupun kat Pusat Islam ada je halaqah al Quran ustaz tu buat. Tapi, ustaz-ustaz tu pun baca tajwid kantoi juga, tapi Asif diam jelah. Budak baru katakan. Pusat Islam dia aktif, almost every day ada kuliah. Lagi dua orang roommate selalu tengah DF. Sorang dah suruh Asif kejut dia Subuh masjid betul-betul sampai bangun.

Buku belum beli lagi, tapi rasa macam tak payah kot. Although I love books so much, I think dengan keadaan duit sekarang, rilek-rilek dulu lah. Lecturer pun dah prepare note online. Wahai Mama n Baba, walaupun Asif dah dewasa, tapi macam perlu bantuan untuk beli laptop lah. Macam perlu sangat di sini. Hihi. Dah jumpa ramai ikhwah senior sini, derang offer Asif buku jugak. Separuh harga.

Naim pun dah masuk UIA PJ. Dia exempted APT, EPT level 6.

2. I wrote this, with a bunch of regrets towards my best friend. Aku cadang nak pergi nanti. Maybe Master. It is my utmost regret when I made the decision. Insya Allah, I pray, you'll be a great physicist one day, and as for me, to be a great engineer.

And thank you for everything. And Asyraf Roslan! happy belated birthday! Aku ingat masa form 4 aku lupa birthday kau. Haha. Acano nak gi tonton dota tournament lagi??

3. I wrote this, with a mountain of hope in the future. As you said, I put my choice on Allah. And I really really really really really hope that I can make it in time, to win. In 3 years, I'll be there. I'll meet him, and I'll be ready. Mark my word.

4. To all, do pray for me.

Later I know, they were the ones who are just like me, some older, 22 yrs old. Pegang harapan family. Bila datang sini, baru tahu, lagi ramai unfortunate. I should be grateful.

Konferens Riang

Masa kali pertama aku mendapat senarai nama daripada penyelaras, "Allah.. layak ke aku nak bawak budak-budak ni? Tak apa. Pelan-pelan kayuh". Masa kali pertama liqa', macam-macam fikrah gamaknya. Semua ada. Mereka ahli Nuqaba' Council SMIAAG. Kali pertama liqa', aku buat jamuan. Depan pejabat sekolah. Nak tengok sorang-sorang, kenal dalam-dalam. Biar rapat hati.

Selepas itu, ada yang mula tak datang. Aku tahu - mereka tak bersetuju dengan dakwah Ikhwan. Advanced sungguh budak-budak zaman sekarang. Aku masa form 5 tak tahu pun mende alah macam ini. Tapi tak apa. Proceed dengan siapa yang ada. Mula-mula agak awkward. Alhamdulillah, diluluskan.

Membina, bukan sahaja tautan hati, tapi kefahaman - Muharikah
Dalam tempoh pertama, aku ulangkaji balik nota-nota lama usrah dulu. Ambil buku rujukan modul tarbiyah Islamiyah yang aku beli masa aku jaulah di Indonesia, rujuk balik Maza Ya'ni. Aku bentang tajuk Madlulusy Syahadah (Dalil-dalil syahadah), Syarat Syahadah, Ma'na La Ilaha Illallah. Semua ini berjalan dengan panjang dan perlahan. Aku sediakan peta minda. Nota. Aku selang-selikan dengan ta'aruf. Iya. Sebab aku masih baru dengan mereka, aku nak bina tautan hati. Sesi ini agak lama. Tambah pula topik ini topik aqidah. Nabi Muhammad SAW ambil masa nak dekat 13 tahun, tanam aqidah dalam dada sahabat betul-betul. Tanam iman dalam-dalam.

Kemudian aku masuk bab nubuwwah. Aduh. Setempek kena.

10 Peribadi Muslim."Lambat lah bang nak kahwin kalau tunggu semua ni siap..". =.=' Asyik nak kahwin je. "Tak apa, nta buat, nanti ada lah bunga yang sedang membina diri pun sampai. Kalau dah sampai seru, sama-sama lah bina diri dan masjid."

Quran wanewani! - Benih suburrr..
Setiap kali. Aku nak tekankan betapa seorang ikhwah perlukan Quran. Biar mereka kenal Quran macam kenal tapak tangan sendiri. Tengok Quran-Quran akhawat, fuuh. Berseri-seri dengan pelekat warna-warni. Silau mata memandang. Tapi ikhwah tak perlu sangat lah nak pelekat-lekat kan? Kita main lekat sikit-sikit je. Untuk tahun ini sahaja - aku go through Maza Ya'ni bahagian pertama.

Lepas segmen sirah, masuk ahwalul muslimin. Hal ehwal umat Islam. Aku suka cerita pasal Palestin. Sebab aku nak mati dekat sana satu hari nanti. Tumpang orang lain balik. Bulatan comel aku buat tiap-tiap Jumaat, 4.30 sampai 6.30 petang. Kadang-kadang anjak Khamis, sebab nak iftar sekali. Akhir sekali, mutaba'ah ibadah. (*Ada part yang dirahsiakan. Harap maklum.)

Kadang-kadang, bila fikir balik tanggungjawab yang dipikul sangat berat. Aku perlu menggalas tugas walid - syeikh - qaid - 'alim. Kasih sayang - pembentukan diri - kepimpinan - ilmu. Banyak betul.

Kata pejuang. Kena lah gentlemen.

Jadi, akhir liqa' kami minggu lepas. Di Ulu Yam. Sedihnya. Aku pesan elok-elok, macam naqib aku pesan pada aku, "Anak buah bukan milik naqib. Jangan sekali-kali ingat sebab kita dakwah dia, dia milik kita". Milik siapa jadinya?

Memori best!
Yang paling aku ingat, masa bulan Ramadhan. Nak iftar, kami semua pergi pasar malam. Ada seorang anak buah aku, naik motor dengan aku, entah macam mana mungkin sebab berat, tayar motor pecah. Haha.

Habis dua jam masa silibus dihabiskan meluahkan perasaan, melayan rindu dendam, tak sabar nak dewasa mende alah. Jadi lah tempat luahan. Macam-macam ditanya pasal mende alah perasaan ini. Penat jugak den nak mendengar satu-satu. Kelahkah pun ade.

Rehlah - syok sekali. Kitorang sangat suka mandi sungai dan makan ayam dan daging bakar! Dan mereka suka suruh aku terjun tempat tinggi dulu. Suka suruh aku masuk sungai dulu. Bila aku suruh mandi dulu masa kami bakar ayam, dok kate sungai kene dirasmikan dulu. Lepas itu bila aku keluar nak buat pengisian sikit sebelum balik, semua nak ajak buat dalam sungai. Dalam sungai pula duduk sibuk main masukkan pasir dalam baju orang, simbah-simbah air kat orang, sampai main tarik seluar pun ada. Nasib baik aku duduk jauh-jauh awal-awal lagi. Mereka kalau dah 'masuk air' lain jadi nya. Haha. Bila nak balik, semua liat nak keluar dari air. Macam badak pun ada. Rindu betul.

13 - 14 - 15 - 16 - 17. Batch mane? Tengok kat jari kami.
Harapan aku, lepas mereka keluar.

Sekian. Penceritaan aku tentang bulatan gumbira aku bersama-sama anak-anak buah aku. Memang tak boleh cerita banyak-banyak. Mende ni kami rahsiakan selalu..sebab spesel :)

Amir Luqman - nak jadi akauntan.
Aku lah tu...
Nabeel di New Zealand
Khairul Iman bakal ustaz
Faruuq nak pergi belajar pondok Pasir Tumboh
Falah Azmi doktor muda.

Wassalam.

Ujian dan Mu'min

"Demi sesungguhnya!

Moga Allah permudahkan -

Pluralist in Action

Assalamu'alaikum.

Pluralism. A philosophy that I've taken quite interested in. Because I think it's beautiful, and I think it's a transitional step to become a better person. Because from what I've seen and engaged, people with real pluralism in mind, they are really nice persons. These people - they act upon their belief. They are a bit like Muslims, where almost every step they take and things they do, they revolve around their principles. We may not realize it, but Islam is a very-very comprehensive and meticulous religion. Open up your Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Google, Safary or anything - and compare other religions with ours for good. You will be surprised by how our two main sources are preserved, and applied in our daily lives. Everything we do in our lives is an act of following the way of life of the greatest human on Earth - Prophet Muhammad. Peace and blessings be upon him.

But we are different in terms of faith. From one aspect, we feel relieved, calm, firm and assured by our faith because our physical proof which is the Quran is undeniably preserved and authentic - no doubt about it. And our creed comes with such a beautiful logic. It is like a nice person comes to our house, knocks politely, we feel safe, we like him and we invite him in. There's not an iota of doubt inviting him in. The same goes to our creed. Surah al Ikhlas in the Quran describes very well about our creed - that our God, Allah is the One and Only God. No father and son, independent, and nothing like Him. It follows the logic very well. It is our instinct to feel relief as we meet our purpose of life. We don't have vital conflicts to deal with - such as which one is greater? Jesus, the Father, or Holy Ghost? Nor we have any conflicting and contradicting premises between our scripture and our described creed such as Christians do. They have very much to deal, because the issues are fundamental - Original Sins, The Calling Eli Eli Lamma Sabatchani, who are the Sons of God, is there any other Alpha and Omega other than Jesus,  who are the real writers of important gospels and letters, does Christian's faith today is the real faith of Jesus or is it Pauline Christian, what about other sects that are dismissed especially during Council Of Nicea and many more. We can take another religions but it will be a very long list. While we Muslims, only have to deal with issues regarding misconceptions. So, it is a relief. Plus, we have a strong historical evidence and records following our stands, principles, and vital points of Islam.

Pluralists instead of referring to real physical records, evidences, and scriptures - they believe that truth lies everywhere. It is an entirely different context than we religious people (Read : Muslims, Christians, Hindus) usually believe. We believe that absolute truth is within our religion. Especially in Islam. We strongly believe that absolute truth is within Islam, and as for me, YES, I am confident that absolute truth lies in my religion. Is there any truth in any other religion? How can Muslims regard there is no truth in any other religion? Yes. We believe there have been some truths in other religion, as we believe Allah has sent thousands of messengers and prophets before Muhammad - two of them are Moses and Jesus(peace be upon them) which play a huge role in Judaism and Christianity. There is also possibility that Buddha and Hindu also originally a religion of Allah. But, as time passes by, we believe the essences are corrupted. And as Muhammad the last messenger of Allah, we believe it is a continuation and a completion of religion of Allah. Muhammad came and confirmed previous messages of previous prophets. We believe Muhammad did not create a new religion, but continued a legacy. In Quran for example, the proof that we believe there was a religion of God but carried different names - [2:62], Christians(Nasara), Jews(Yahudi - Haadu), Sabi'ins are example of it. The essence that should be in each of these old religions are belief in Allah, belief in the Day of Judgement, and the importance of good deeds. So if we take a verse from Chandogya Upanishad [6:1:2] "Ekam Evadvitiyam" which means "He is One without a Second" - yes, it is possible that once Hindu was also a religion of Allah. It is a normal perspective from any other religions that the absolute truth lies in theirs.

Islam, the last religion of Allah
Islam, is the last religion of Allah. A religion that will prevail to the end of time. The definition of Islam itself is sufficient to describe what does it really mean. Islam is not only a millah(religion) but it is the deen of Allah. Deen means 'way of life'. The word 'Islam' can be derived from three root words, 1. Aslama(to surrender) 2. Salima(pure, authentic) 3. Salam(peace). So, Islam means, "A way of life by submitting oneself to Allah in a pure and authentic way to attain inner peace and blessings". Why must I add 'pure and authentic' in the definition? To show you one of the differences between Islam and other religions. In Islam, everything we do have its sources. We worship Allah, the way Allah wants us to worship Him. Everything, is according to His wishes.

Pluralists believe that the truth may come from other religion as well - and none of these religions contain all the truth. They believe that everything in this world is inter-connected. Their main pillars are universal values - peace, human right, love, justice and many more. They acted on these values, and you can see that they are not biased to certain sides or groups. When you engage with them, you will learn to respect them. Because of how much efforts they have put to stand and act on what they believe. And I dare to say, although there is no actual pillar or reference to this belief, they hold it really firm. Truth can come from anyone, anywhere. In short, every religion is the same. Same in the context that it does not only bring people to the truth, but to the extent that details of each religion are not as important as the purpose of the religion itself. Contradictions are normal. When I first know about this philosophy, I was thinking, how can you live with all those contradictions in yourself? I mean, because they regard religions are all the same - and when they choose they want to live as a Muslim, they also think it's okay to wear cross or pray in a Gudwara to Satnam because nothing changes. Whoever God you worship, you will arrive to the truth. I myself don't understand how is this even possible. Such contradiction is unbearable.

Pluralism in Physics
But later, I come to understand the situation as I read a book "Isms and Oologies" by 'I don't remember who'.  The example is as follows. In physics, there are two 'contradicting' situations. Newtonian Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics. In Newtonian Mechanics, everything can be predicted and calculated. You can know an object will travel to where, its speed and arrive when - you just need enough information. But in Quantum Mechanics as Michio Kaku describes, 'nothing is certain'. It's a probabilistic world. You can never be sure, NEVER. For instance, you can only know either the momentum of an electron or its position. You can never know both. Never. Regardless how advanced the technology is, you will never know. It's the uncertainty principle.  For example, a specific electron can be at two places at one time. That's the quantum world. It behaves that way. Another example, if you shoot an electron at a big hill, there's a chance that the exact electron will create a tunnel through the hill and be at the other side of the hill. When we bring this example to macroscopic level, it is impossible. Earth cannot be at two places at a particular time. When we throw a ball to a thick hard wall, there's no way the ball could make a hole to that wall and be on the other side and the wall return hole-less. You got the idea? Quantum Mechanics is usually used to deal with things at microscopic level ie electrons and protons, while Newtonian Mechanics is used to deal with things at macroscopic level ie planets and stars. Today's scientists use both to deal with different problems - although in real life it's contradicting, but they use both to solve problems from both worlds. That's what we call pluralist. Still, in this scientific community, there are other people who believe in the theory of eveything - a theory that describes literally everything. They believe one day, the 'truth' they want will be found in the theory of eveything. While pluralist is okay with contradictions, this kind of people (monism) believes that absolute truth is contained in one entity. This kind of people is really much alike with us religious people. They are in search for ToE and they are not satisfied until they are able to explain why are Quantum Mechanics and other mechanics are so different etc. Except for each of us Muslims, Christians, and Jews believes that the absolute truth was already found and is within our own religion. (Read : QM as for now can also be applied to some aspects at macroscopic level)
Ada Shrodinger's cat di situ. Haha

He's a magnificent pluralist
He is very nice. He smiles, treats people nicely, and an ardent advocate of peace. When you talk to him, you will come to know that he is a man of principle. As for now, he often posts at an FB group - a group with various people with various faiths and religions; United Religions Initiative. Here is the example of his posts in the group.
1.

Inner Work self-reflection & self-awareness guide for the week:
"WHAT SACRIFICE HAVE I MADE FOR THE OTHER? WHAT SACRIFICE HAS ANOTHER MADE FOR ME?"

To our Muslim brothers and sisters: Bayramiz Eidil Adha Mubarak Olsun!

To me, a person with this kind of paradigm is nice and kind. He takes good values from every faith, and appreciates it very well. This kind of person, you will have a hard time to start comparing which one is better, your religion or his ideology. You know why, unlike other religions, this philosophy ACCEPTS truth might come from anyone. So they are the kind of people who is very open-minded. For example, when you face people from another religion, it's easier(Read : not EASY) as you can start comparing, and they have 'something' to defend - something fixed - the religion itself. You know what are their weak spots, and you know how exactly they will react. But with pluralists, it's kind of like this "Yeah.. each person has its own opinions" without getting anywhere close to being challenged or provoked at all. And his life revolves around his values. One of the good things that I learned from him, is he really wishes he could stop 'religious-motivated violence'. As he views religion as something beautiful, he wants people to stop using religion as an excuse to do violence. Until now, I do not know, how to really deal with it. Care to give any ideas? The only thing that we Muslims have, is the real assurance of the Oneness of Allah, greatest example of Muhammad, and the outstanding Quran - which lead us to believe we are on the right track. And I know, they only rely on the beauties of their values.

He really is a nice person, and I pray to Allah so that one day, Allah will bless him His hidayah. Amin..

Their declaration.

Conclusion
There has been a major confusion to Muslims about how to regard this philosophy. Pluralism, is a philosophy that puts every religion as equal and each religion will bring you to the truth. We believe that Islam is the only way to the truth. We are taught by Prophet Muhammad, to respect another religion and faith, to treat people as nice and kind as possible even though they are people from different faiths, and to live Islam as our way of life. "Lakum diinukum waliya diin" Surah Al Kaafirun. They have their own ways of lives, we have our way of life too. We don't need to be the same as them. Pluralism instead is about lowering your 'fences' to let people in and accept them. Acceptance is the key word. Because the way they see, these fences and differences are the contributing factors to religious-motivated violence. We Muslims have no urgency to lower our fences or dissolve our limitations and prohibitions, because our beloved Prophet had taught us, that he also can live peacefully with the Jews at Madinah without 'lowering any fences'. It's the akhlaq of the prophet that we need to constantly embrace.
Freedom and Justice Party

You can also have a look at a new party in Egypt, Freedom and Justice Party - their vice president is a Coptic Christian. People say that this party is very closely related to Muslim Brotherhood, Al Ikhwan Al Muslimun - but IM says the party operates separately. :) Even a proponent of Daulah Islamiah can have a Coptic as their vice. Still, before the first meeting the Muslim members went to the mosque to pray together. What a view! Video

* This is a post ignited by my amazement towards my friend, a pluralist - May Allah bless him Hidayah! Amin.

Au Revoir[2]

I tend to have maybe slow and not many, close and personal relationship with people. I might not be very friendly- which is mainly due to my inferiority complex. Not because I don't want to. But, when I'm hooked to someone, I will hold him/her very dearly. And my kind of relationship is somewhat a kind of slow pace relation. As far as I'm concerned. Even if I know that person only for a while.

This time, two of them were on their way to U.K. One to Oxford. And one to Manchester.

Rahman Rozali
He went to Oxford to further his in laws.

He was my senior. In school. Also my senior in taekwondo. He was one from few others who had his kicks executed beautifully and perfectly in our DoJang once. His kicks were amazingly perfect. He was also my senior in another art - where they practiced martial art using aura. He was also my mentor in survival skills. And kami satu bulatan gembira :D

His Quran was superb. His makhraj and tajwid - when you listen to him reading Quran, you will automatically say "Masya Allah". Beautiful voice, perfect makhraj, tajwid, tarannum, lahjah. Everything.

Still, as I am the pengarah for the upcoming Explorace for my school, he even said to me to Skype him whenever I want to ask his advice regarding this matter.

Although he went there for not more than 2 years, but I think we will miss him when we go camping. Surely.
With our naqib.
Asyraf Roslan a.k.a Capo
He went to Manchester to study Physics. He wishes to work at CERN. Amin.

We call each other by that name. I have one more close friend in this trio, named Omar. We call him Maro. They call me Sipo. So, he is my best friend. We've been through so much together. Of course, we had a fight once. And then we cool until now.

We knew each other when we were in Form 3, tahfiz together. He lend me his book, Warcraft Archives. And from that day, I started to add English novels and books in my list. We have been gaming together since we were form 4 if I am not mistaken. The first game was Star Wars Battlefront. Then LOTR The Battle of Middle-Earth. Then DOTA until now. Sometimes we shifted to first-person-shooter games like COD, but he became dizzy so fast. Haha. We play hitherto.
The whole line is our friends. Mini-gathering. :) Usually we play in 10 persons.
One of the most wonderful memories we have was when we went to A Famosa to watch SMM Dota Final. And during our journey, our cars (in which both of the cars were his, I drove one) were spotted by speed trap. Few months later, surat saman sampai. Haaaaaaa...
Di The Curve, this year's final SMM Dota took place. Asyraf - wears the white shirt in the centre.
He was the one who also made me interested in physics. His questions and his conversations really hooked me up. He has helped me a lot. Physically, emotionally, and financially. Thanks for everything.

Siiru 'ala barakatillah. Love you so much [sumpah geli nak cakap ni..tapi ni hakikat.]

:)

Salam.
